Butcher Hero Islands
Seventeen islands, in file order, from Meadowlands to Vampire Sanctum. Chest counts here use the 57-slot dataset. The in-game counter still says 45.
Early islands versus later ones
The first four islands hold one chest slot each in the 57-set. Sun Isle holds two. From Candyland onward most islands hold four, and Vampire Sanctum holds four world slots before the three arena chests that live in the Boss Tower instead.
A Reddit clear of “35 chests by island 14” uses yet another running total. I cite it as a progress story, not as a replacement for the 57-slot numbers in the table.

FAQ
How many islands are in Butcher Hero?
Seventeen, in this order: Meadowlands, Dusty Gulch, Crystal Tundra, Desert Mines, Sun Isle, Candyland, Pirate Shores, Shrooms Vale, Ember Isle, Abandoned Polar Outpost, Twisted Island, Ancient Workshop, Lost Ship, Deity Village, Land of the Damned, Nightwood, Vampire Sanctum.
What is Islands Mastery?
Five levels. Players say you clear the island the same day: monsters, chests, and crystals. The size of the bonus depends on which source you trust, and both are quoted above.
Which island is last?
Vampire Sanctum. Community posts treat its vampire as the world boss that closes the island chain. A named mini-boss list for every island does not agree across sites, so the table leaves bosses blank.
